What an Amazing 5 day family tour through Yellowstone. We were lucky to have both Emily Jo and Josh alternating as our guides for the trip. We did Whitewater Rafting, hiking to see Old Faithful, kayak trip on Yellowstone Lake, Mammoth Springs, and an insane hike through some of the Lamar Valley, as well as a host of other sights. We had no shortage of wildlife, we even saw a badger trying to dig up ground squirrels. Both of them were extremely knowledgeable and constantly pointing out flora and animals and giving history lessons. It is obvious how much they love and appreciate the park. They were extra accommodating for our group and we look forward to the chance to go again during a different season. THANK YOU GUYS !!!!!

Emily Jo is quite possibly the nicest human being ever, and that’s saying a lot because my mom is seriously too kind!! So basically our guided tour was awesome from start to finish. Yellowstone Hiking Guides is a must do if you are traveling to Yellowstone. My family consisted of young adults to middle age adults and one senior citizen. We did the Lamar valley safari hike and wow did it pay off! We saw Grizzly and cub, wolf, elk, a coyote tailing some pronghorn , a badger and of course ground squirrels. Josh is an excellent guide and very knowledgeable about the area and history. By far it was the highlight of my entire groups trip. My mother in law in her 70s was apprehensive about the 6 mile hike but Josh paced the group and provided many rest breaks so that she never felt rushed or left behind. It was for sure her favorite part of the trip! The lunch was a huge sandwich, apple, and popcorn with a bag of snacks and candy. Most couldn’t finish their sandwich. Josh also provides trekking poles, bear spray, and binoculars. He also had some backpacks and extra rain coats which came in handy as I had left mine. This was my family’s second time using him and I can assure you it is worth every penny! We look forward to trying some of the other tours with his company in the future.

Emily Jo was amazing and so knowledgeable. I am a travel blogger and have been on many tours. This is an exceptional guide, and an exceptional tour. The land is sacred and beautiful; the animals are plentiful. I appreciated the way Emily Jo educated us to ensure our safety (though anything can always happen) which helped me be more responsible for my own safety. Her knowledge of the Native American traditions, the reintroduction of wolves, the current status of the wolves and preservation initiatives, animal behaviors, and history of the area was superior. I was extremely impressed with her knowledge and ability to connect with each person in the group. Emily Jo was friendly and entertaining. I would recommend people experience the wilds of what America (as a whole) used to be, in this preserved and wild land. I hope Emily is your guide.
